I have been a practicing attorney for more than twenty-six years. I am a 1987 graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana (B.A. Political Science), and earned my J.D. (with High Honors) from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1990, where I served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Law Review and was selected by the faculty to be a member of the inaugural class of the Kent Legal Scholars. I am a partner in the Chicago law firm of Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC.
My wife, Lisa, and I have resided in the District since 1995. We have three children, two daughters who are graduates of Highland Park High School (classes of 2011 and 2014), and a son who is in his senior year at HPHS. Our family is active with a number of charities, most notably the LUNGevity Foundation. I am also a volunteer coach for the HPHS Mock Trial Team.
